Michele Val Jean, the creator of the show, mentioned on social media that the decision was beyond her control. “To those asking, the first run decision is far above my salary grade, so I have no insight into it,” she stated. “The good news is future reruns will launch, giving those who missed out a chance to catch up.”
The pause has sparked some discontent among viewers, especially since The Bold and the Beautiful and Young and Restless are still airing new episodes during the holiday. This decision has drawn some criticism on social media.
Over the Gate will return with new episodes starting on Monday, July 7th.
