Isaiah Bond Cleared of Sexual Assault Allegations
Isaiah Bond is looking to advance his career in football, having been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing related to sexual assault allegations. The Grand Jury in Collin County, Texas, determined that there was insufficient evidence to charge him, returning a “no bill.” District Attorney Greg Willis confirmed that this means no indictment will be pursued.
Recently, Bond, who is 21 years old, announced his intention to join the Cleveland Browns for his rookie season, although the details of his contract are still pending. He expressed gratitude towards the organization for their faith in him, which is something I guess any aspiring athlete would appreciate.
“I want to sincerely thank the Cleveland Browns for believing in me and allowing me to keep pursuing my NFL career,” Bond shared in a statement. “Football has been my passion since I was six, and I don’t take this opportunity lightly.” It’s fascinating how sometimes, just being able to chase your dreams can feel like a monumental moment in one’s life.
Bond’s attorney had advised him to refrain from discussing specifics about the case publicly, but he reaffirmed his innocence. He mentioned that he’s grateful for the Grand Jury’s decision. He reflected on learning from this tough experience and emphasized his commitment to personal growth. It’s quite brave to face such challenges, really.
On April 10, just weeks ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, Bond turned himself in to Texas authorities and was released after posting a $25,000 bond. Although he wasn’t drafted, he has since filed a lawsuit against the unnamed individual who accused him, though that case was dismissed.
Bond’s football journey began at the University of Alabama before he transferred to Texas, where he completed the 2024 season with impressive stats — 540 yards and five touchdown receptions. It’s interesting to think about how college experiences shape these athletes as they move into a professional realm.
