The distinctive “Island Boys” rapper Frankie Venegas was arrested for gun and drug charges after a traffic stop in Florida.
The 23-year-old, who surged to the viral infamy alongside twin brother Alex in 2021, sang “I'm a Island Boy,” but was found stashing “I'm a Island Boy” on Sunday night in a stash of prescription drugs and an unregistered handgun. Ta. To a police report from the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
He crawled his grilled teeth in a mug shot, showing his unmistakable tattooed face and a wild hairstyle that looked like a palm tree with six thick branches.
Sheriff's report said Venegas was a passenger in a yellow corvette when the 25-year-old female driver was pulled for not stopping.
The K9 unit searched for the car and found a plastic bag filled with white pills under the passenger seat.
Venagas initially told police that the pills were not him and that he had no idea how they got there. He then said he had a prescription for oxycodone but could not provide evidence, police said.
Police also found a designer MCM Worldwide handbag under the sheet containing Glock, which was spray painted blue and missing serial number.
He was arrested and booked at the Naples Prison Centre on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance without possession of a prescription and a change in firearm.
Venegas, also known by the stage name Kodiyakredd, and his twin brothers who go to Flyysoulja, are famous for their unique looks as distinctive as their music.
Each of them has tattoos covering their bodies and faces, grills and unique thorny hairstyles, as seen in Frankie Venegas' mug shots.
He was detained from prison on Monday and will next appear in court on March 17th, according to prison records.
Venegas was previously arrested in Fort Lauderdale in May 2024. According to WPLG.
A year ago, he was arrested in Broward County for allegedly beating his live-in girlfriend, but the misdemeanor charge was later dropped.
