Islanders add ex-Ranger Tony DeAngelo for rest of season

During the seven weeks, Tony Deangelo became an island in New York, believing that his NHL career was over.

The islanders announced on Friday that they have taken a one -year contract with a Lightning Rod former Rangers Defenseman to a one -year contract. It has recovered from heart surgery with Mike Riley at night.

Transaction conditions were not available immediately.

DEANGELO was playing with a hurricane and a flyer from his unsightly Broadway exit, and was essentially expelled to Russia after not signed in the last free agency cycle.

He played 34 games in SKA ST. Petersburg this season and recorded 32 points (6 goals, 26 assists).

Ten days ago, his contract ended with each other, and the club announced that DEANGELO had to return to North America for family reasons.
