Israel recovers body of hostage Elia Toledano, taken from music festival, in Gaza

Israeli special forces said in a statement on Friday that they had recovered the body of hostage Elia Toledano, 28, who had been held in the Gaza Strip since Hamas rampaged through southern Israel on October 7.

The military said an “identification procedure” was carried out by medical personnel, military rabbis and forensic experts.

Israeli media reported that Toledano was taken by Hamas from the open-air music festival that turned into a massacre.

More than 130 hostages remain in Gaza.
