Israeli Leaders Address Iranian Missile Attack
On Monday, Israeli officials took a defiant stance during their visit to an apartment damaged by Iranian missiles and an air force base preparing for operations against Tehran. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was at the IAF’s Tel Nov base, south of Tel Aviv, where he praised the pilots.
“On behalf of the people of Israel, you’re doing incredible work. The Israeli Air Force dominates the skies over Tehran, which will shift the whole campaign,” he stated. “We’re focused on two main goals: eliminating nuclear and missile threats. We will strike the regime’s targets, unlike the Iranian regime that targets civilians and results in casualties, including women and children. We advise people in Tehran to take cover; action is coming.”
“We’re progressing towards victory, thanks to our heroic pilots and ground crews. I commend you, and all of Israel respects your efforts. Many globally are impressed by what you do.”
Meanwhile, Isaac Herzog, the Israeli president, visited a high-rise in Bat Yam over the weekend, which had been struck by Iranian missiles. He expressed his thoughts on the attack:
“What I witnessed in that destroyed apartment was pure evil, aimed at innocent civilians across Israel. I have a message for the Iranian regime: thinking you’ll wear us down is a mistake. We are a strong and resilient country with formidable capabilities. I believe people in Iran are weary of their leadership and desire change. We all deserve a shift in the region.”
“For decades, Iran has spread chaos and fear, supporting radical states and fostering instability. We won’t be scapegoats any longer; we will fight back. I urge global leaders at the G7 Summit in Canada to support us in two crucial matters: firstly, Iran must not possess nuclear weapon capabilities, and secondly, we must work to regain our hostages swiftly.”
Israeli leaders seemed intent on contrasting their proactive stance with that of Iranian leaders, who appear to be hiding or fleeing amid the chaos.
