Israel killed a top commander of the terrorist group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, two Lebanese security sources said.

A statement released by Hezbollah identified the commander as Mohammed Nasser and declared him a “martyr” without providing further details.
Nasser is the highest-ranking leader to be killed by the terrorist group since Taleb Sami Abdullah, who was killed in a June 11 airstrike.Number.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah praised Abdullah in a speech, saying he had played a key role on the front line since the war began on October 7.Number.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Wednesday that the Israeli military would take all necessary action against Hezbollah but preferred a negotiated solution.
“We hit Hezbollah hard every day and remain fully prepared to take any action necessary in Lebanon and will reach an agreement from a position of strength. We want a deal, but if reality demands it, we know how to fight,” Gallant was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his office.
