It Is Not an Overstatement to Call Trump a Fascist

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) said Sunday on MSNBC's “Inside” that calling former President Donald Trump a fascist is an exaggeration.

“I've said it since day one, he's weakness masquerading as strength. He's a broken man, and you see that. He's often graded on a curveball, and it's getting more and more disturbing,” Newsom said. I find it all the more surprising that this can be said, given the deranged and unflappable behavior, the rhetoric from the Harris camp perfectly mimics what we are seeing. We've seen 39 minutes of weird narcissism on another level, where people have to kind of stare at Dear Leader as he dances and zones out. So this is a profound and remarkable moment.”

He continued: “I know it's a loaded word, but to say you'll be a dictator from day one means to look at the definition of fascism and the characteristics of a dictator or an authoritarian.” .

Newsom added, “I'm deeply aware, and I don't think I'm exaggerating, that when you use a word like fascism, it's a word that offends some people, but again, the definition… I think that's a fair assessment from the vice president.” President and General Milley. ”
