San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa doesn't seem concerned at all about whether the NFL will fine him for wearing a Donald Trump MAGA campaign hat during a postgame TV interview last month.
After the 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys, while NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark was interviewing several team members, Bosa snuck up behind quarterback Brock Purdy and called out his “Make.” He interrupted an on-field television interview by pointing to his “America Great Again” cap.
The league later reported that it would wait until after the 2024 election to decide whether to punish Bosa for the live TV stunt.
The league deferred a decision to fine Bosa, but officials said the player would not be suspended for his actions.
On Wednesday, Botha was asked if he regretted the TV prank. But he was far from apologetic.
When a reporter asked him about the hat joke and the resulting fine, Botha replied: I don't have it yet, but if it comes, I will. ”
He also admitted he understood he could be fined for the TV prank.
“Well, it was worth it,” he said, adding, “I don't think my position on this has changed. So clearly the people spoke and we got what we got.” talked about.
Finally, he was asked if he saw the election coming back, and he said he did.
“It was fun. I had a straight good time,” he said.
