‘It Would Have Exacerbated the Problem’

PALM BEACH, Fla. — In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, spoke out about the lies Biden told during his State of the Union address about a bipartisan Senate. This infuriated his opponent in the general election, Democratic President Joe Biden. The immigration plan stalled in early 2024.

“That would make the problem even worse,” Trump told Breitbart News about the bipartisan Senate immigration plan supported by Biden. “That would have made things even worse. And they allowed 5,000 people in per day. These are numbers that no one has ever heard of.”

President Trump is right in that the plan would codify the entry of thousands of immigrants a day, as Breitbart News has extensively reported on the plain text of the plan. But part of the reason Biden leans toward this message is that he is so reeling from the missteps in immigration policy as his president that he seeks to shift responsibility and responsibility for the crisis. Millions of immigrants are entering the country who otherwise would be. Ahead of the upcoming November election, nothing could be further from Congress and Trump than from himself. Biden lied to the nation in his State of the Union address when he claimed that the Senate agreement negotiated by Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and others helped resolve the border crisis.

In his speech, Biden said the bill would help solve problems caused by the more than 60 executive actions he took as president to open the border.

“In November, my team began serious negotiations with a bipartisan group of senators. The result is a bipartisan bill that contains the toughest border security reforms this country has ever seen.” and Mr. Biden Said Giving a speech. As Republicans in the chamber loudly booed Biden, he taunted and shouted back at them. Oh, you don’t like that bill, do you? Did conservatives get together and say it’s a good bill? You’ll be surprised, that’s amazing. ”

After some of the details of the bill were rattled, including increasing staffing and machinery and equipment at the border, the bill contained no substantive policy changes from Biden’s open border vision, but the Democratic president has since He said this. He pressured President Trump, claiming he blocked the bill for political reasons.

“I’ve heard that my predecessor called Congress and the Senate and asked them to block the bill,” Biden said, adding that Trump was “a political victory for me and a political loss for him.” “I was thinking about it,” he said, adding that he believed it.

“It’s not about him. It’s not about me,” Biden said in his speech.

When asked to respond to Biden’s claim, President Trump told Breitbart News that it was yet another lie. President Trump then pointed to the House-passed HR2 border security bill as a bill that would actually help solve the problem, pointing out that if Trump was actually thinking about solving the problem instead of just trying to solve the problem, then Biden asked why his Democratic allies in the Senate didn’t support the bill. We shift the blame for causing the disaster on ourselves.

“No, we want to save the country,” Trump told Breitbart News. “This bill would make things even more complicated. In fact, it would make legal what they are doing illegally. Now, Congress… [the House] passed the bill [HR2] It’s a good bill, but they won’t act on it. This was a bill that was actually meant to work. ”

President Trump also said that Republican Sen. Lankford of Oklahoma, who was the public face of negotiations in which Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell tried to create a vessel for passing more aid to Ukraine, has joined the negotiations. He said he believes he hurt himself politically by doing so.

“I think Lankford really hurt himself. 5,000 people per day?” Trump said. “You can’t take in 5,000 people a day. He’s 5,000 people a day, that’s a lot of people. It’s crazy.”

Trump also lambasted Biden as the “worst border president” in U.S. history and explained how various executive actions Biden had taken caused the crisis.

“He is the worst president in the history of our country, and the worst border president in the history of our country,” Trump said. “Three years ago, we had the best border in our history. If he had done nothing, just gone to the beach, we would have been better. I always say that. . Our borders were getting better and better. No one would come because it was too difficult to get in. If he had done nothing and just left those people in place and the policies the way they were… he… He ruled out Remain in Mexico. Who would do that? Remain in Mexico was incredible. It wasn’t easy to get it either. Mexico didn’t want it. But he We eliminated Remain. I’ve never seen anything like that before. It was so powerful. Title 42 — everything. Allowing sick people into our country. They carry diseases that could take over the entire country. These are the people who are.”
