‘It’s a Big Day Tuesday Through Thursday’

“Today is a big day,” Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.) said during an appearance on the show, as the Senate prepares to confirm a “list of absolute winners.” Breitbart News Dailyare discussing the plan this week as confirmation hearings begin for President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks.

Official confirmation hearings begin Tuesday, one week before President Trump's inauguration.

“The Senate will be working this week to confirm President Trump's cabinet…and it's very important that we get that done,” he said, adding that the first person on the schedule is Trump's pick, Doug Collins. He pointed out that. Secretary of Veterans Affairs — 9 a.m. ET Tuesday.

“What I think is amazing is that the first person they're going to meet tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock is Doug Collins, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. And this is President Trump, who arranged this date. I think it shows that the Senate really cares about taking care of our veterans,” the lawmaker said, noting that Pete Hegseth's confirmation hearing for defense secretary begins later that day.

“Then we had Doug Burgum for the interiors, and for Chrissi. [Noem] Wednesday, Pam Bondi of the Department of Homeland Security, Sean Duffy of the Department of Justice, and John Ratcliffe of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. [for] CIA, Marco Rubio [for the] Chris Wright, Department of State [Energy Secretary]And, you know, it went on and on and on,” he continued, highlighting Lee Zeldin as one of the most excited candidates.

“One of the problems, or one of the biggest problems we've had. … Joe Biden took office. He started a war on agriculture, shut down the Keystone Pipeline, and kept our input costs incredibly high. And we've messed up the immigration issue. So there's like 20 million people. But I don't know who they are. And they said the regulatory environment is putting pressure on our farmers. He's a really cool guy. He'll be confirmed hopefully on Thursday. “This is Lee Zeldin from the EPA,” he said.

“Nobody wants to talk about the EPA until they start destroying everything. So I'm very excited that Lee's Zeldin is going to be in the EPA and bringing some sanity back there,” he said. Ta.

Van Orden said he believes Zeldin is well qualified because he is from New York and has seen the consequences of bad environmental policy.

“What's going on in L.A. right now is burning up. How many 14,000, 15,000 homes were destroyed because people went too far and didn't let people clean up, and now they're putting it down to Trump and Elon. “You're blaming masks. That's absurd,” he said. “So I really want someone from a state that has lived under the yoke of out-of-control environmental groups to bring some sanity back to D.C. I think it's a great choice.” So proud. I think so. ”

Overall, lawmakers said these confirmation hearings are important matters in the Senate.
