Greenland's Pitaffic – Vice President JD Vance arrived in Greenland on Friday – President Trump hopes to annex – and with humor he tells US military personnel:
Vance, 40, said he sat for lunch with some of the roughly 600 US troops at Pitafik Space Station before Air Force 2 flew through a “pretty cool place” approaching the north coast of the world's largest island.
The Vice President has joined the Arctic whirlwind stop with Second Lady Ushavance, national security adviser Mike Waltz and energy secretary Chris Wright.
Trump has severed ties with Denmark to around 56,000 Greenland residents and lobbyed to join the US to boost American interests, including managing key transport routes and accessing rare earth elements.
It was certainly cold outdoors and the temperature was -3 degrees Fahrenheit.
“The president, as you know, is really interested in the safety of the Arctic, and will only grow over the next few decades,” Vance said.
The US delegation was then explained about the work of the Space Force in the northern Frontier, but most of them were closed to journalists.
After Colonel Daredevil praised members of the army who survived “the threat of a near freezing temperature, iceberg and tense seal collapse,” Vance asked the press to leave as the main debate was set to begin.
“Thanks to the reporters. You can get out of here and talk about this,” he said.
This trip is a resolved version of what was originally intended as a well-meaning building mission that Yusha Vance will be attending the annual dog sledding race father of autonomous Danish territory.
The dog sledding visit was cancelled amid pushbacks from local politicians and business owners.
