On Friday’s “Real Time” broadcast on HBO New York Times Columnist Brett Stevens discussed the first 100 days of the Second Trump administration, saying, “Good news, for the country, it’s the worst 100 days in the history of a US president.” And, “If it was successful for the first 100 days, if it was a bit bad, then people would say, if we weren’t observing a legitimate procedure or are rebelling against the Supreme Court?”
“My summary of the first 100 days is that the bad news is the worst first 100 days in the history of a US president. I can’t imagine a presidency that had something bad. But the good news is that it was the worst 100 days in the history of a US president. They thought they needed to break and be confused, so they were mad.
He continued. “And I’ve heard from so many friends who voted for Trump, remembering the era of 100% tariffs until the first Trump administration at least thrives – until two seconds stuck. I’m losing half of the workforce. The prices of consumer goods are still rising. Well, if we don’t adhere to legitimate procedures or are against the Supreme Court, what is it?
