Music mogul David Foster’s daughters Erin and Sarah called California Governor Gavin Newsom (Democratic) “the worst” and accused him of trying to turn the Golden State into a socialist state.
“Newsom is the worst, in fact the worst,” Sara said on Thursday’s show. episode of The world’s first podcast with Erin and Sarah Fosterand Erin replied, “Yeah, I hate him.”
“It’s really messed up, what’s going on here,” Sarah continued. “Is the goal Venezuela? Is the goal a socialist state? I don’t know.”
Erin responded, “Whatever my goals are, I’m getting a place to live in Nashville,” while Sarah admitted she was “jealous” of her sister being able to leave California.
“I’m jealous, because if anyone follows me, I know that I have a lot of complaints about the city and state that we live in,” she said. “And people always say, ‘Why don’t you quit?'” Folks, it’s not that easy. I was born and raised here. My whole family is here. ”
Erin hinted that she was a liberal by complaining about Tennessee’s pro-life laws and freedoms related to the Second Amendment, but said she wanted to pay Nashville’s taxes.
“California’s government is very aware that they are trying to avoid people paying California taxes,” she said. “So we have to prove that the doctor is in Nashville, the therapist is in Nashville, the grocery bill is coming from Nashville. We will have to move appropriately.”
Sarah responded, “It’s all Newsom’s fault.”
“Yeah, you know what Newsom is doing right now? — I blame Newsom for everything — because they say, ‘I’m unhappy here, crime is through the roof, public education is bad.’ They’re trying to pass legislation when they leave the state.trying to cheat you out of a bill you have to pay [taxes] 10 years,” she said.
Erin responded, “That’s insane,” while Sarah warned, “If you’re in California, you might end up in a situation where they’re like, ‘Okay, you want to move to Texas?'” Well, even after moving, she will still have to pay the state of California for 10 years. ”
The sisters also discussed whether they would like California’s governor if they were to attend a “dinner party” with him.
“Here’s the problem,” Sarah said. “I’m sure he’s a very nice guy. I’m not talking to him as a friend. I’m sure you’ll like this person if you sit across from him at the dinner table.” Erin bluntly replied, “I don’t know if I’ll like him at the dinner party.”
“What I’m saying is, he’s the one running our state,” Sarah said. “So, unfortunately, aside from that, I don’t care who you know, who you’re friends with, what mutual friends we have.”
“I don’t care,” Sarah declared. “You’re running the country, and your policies are terrible. So I’m coming for you.”
