It’s Time to Pressure the Senate Uniparty to Stop Illegal Aliens from Voting

After three years of importing millions of illegal immigrants under President Joe Biden and “border czar” Kamala Harris’ open border regime, I am hearing concerns from my constituents and people across the country that non-citizens and illegal immigrants could vote and sway the outcome of the 2024 election. Meanwhile, the threat of a destructive post-election lame-duck session looms, empowering Democrats and paving the way for all kinds of legislative transgressions.

Republicans could use the Sept. 30 funding deadline to address these two issues by attaching a funding extension through 2025 to the SAVE Act.

Doing so would force Democrats to answer a simple question: ‘Do you support requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, or do you support non-citizens voting illegally?’ It would also prevent the one-party state from using the lame duck to pass another cap-busting omnibus spending bill that would solidify the Democratic Party’s radical policies through the start of a potential Trump administration.

A member of the Senate Minority Leader's party Mitch McConnell Everyone from Republican Sen. (R-Ky.) to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) hates this strategy, which puts them in the most unwanted situation on earth: inexcusable opposition to the demands of the vast majority of the American people.

In July, we passed the bipartisan SAVE Act (H.R. 8281) in the House of Representatives, which would require states to verify citizenship before registering voters and provide states with the tools to identify and remove non-citizens who are already registered, while ensuring that all eligible U.S. citizens can vote.

But Chuck Schumer and his cronies are blocking the SAVE Act from consideration in the Senate, which is why it is important to force this question by attaching the SAVE Act to the budget resolution and forcing Senate Democrats to act on the bill.

Meanwhile, Democrats tried unsuccessfully to ignore the importance of the SAVE Act, falsely claiming that allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the country would not affect the election. According to The Biden-Harris administration said it is already illegal for foreign nationals to vote in federal elections.

They fail to mention that the Supreme Court's interpretation of current federal law literally prohibits states from verifying the citizenship status of individuals who register to vote in federal elections. Moreover, several Democratic-run jurisdictions Actively working Laws requiring foreign nationals to register to vote. The SAVE Act addresses each of these issues.

Republican administrations across the country are making clear the absurdity of the Democratic position. Last month, Texas Announced The state has removed more than 6,500 foreign nationals from its voter rolls since 2021. And last month, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares said: said The state has removed more than 6,300 foreign nationals from its voter rolls.

But excluding foreigners from voter rolls seems to be typical of Republican administrations. There are no such efforts in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and North Carolina, where the Democrats control the executive branch. Remember, these states were won or lost by just a few thousand votes in recent elections. This means that every registered foreigner can potentially affect the outcome of an election. And the Democrats know this.

Democrats, and many Republicans too, fear the possibility of a future Trump administration, which is why bipartisan support for a lame-duck session would be an opportunity to stall the next administration.

As an example, in December 2022, immediately after the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections, the Democrats Helped The $1.7 trillion omnibus bill, passed by 18 Republican senators, solidified Democratic policy and provided $45 billion in aid to Ukraine. They did so despite the House Republican majority asking Senate Republicans to let them shape the spending bill for the new fiscal year.

If Republicans refuse to do the right thing – freeze spending at current levels through 2025 or beyond – history will likely repeat itself this December.

If President Donald Trump wins, Democrats will jump at the opportunity to pass a comprehensive bill that would strike down the current spending caps into law and tie up the first nine months of his administration. Moreover, the Senate warmongers are already Scream More funding for Ukraine is needed before it “expires” in January. The debt ceiling is also due to be lifted in January 2025, which will likely encourage Democrats and weak-kneed Republicans to push for a multi-trillion dollar debt ceiling increase with no spending restraints, fearing “default.”

The threat of foreign votes and The lame duck session is why the House Freedom Caucus is in a historically unique situation. position Formally move forward with a continuing resolution through 2025 that includes the SAVE Act.

I understand the desire to dig in and pass a single-topic appropriations bill that includes conservative policy provisions (such as defunding Jack Smith's political prosecution of President Trump). I'm not a fan of funding extensions (so-called “continuing resolutions”), but the time has passed for the House to pass and force the Senate to take up a strong full-year appropriations bill. Congress has, in good conscience, been sitting idle all through August. We are not going to negotiate with a Senate that has passed its seven remaining appropriations bills and not passed a single FY2025 appropriations bill by September 30th.

This means that Republicans must now either act or stay silent.

Instead of giving Democrats and big-spending Republicans what they want, we should demand that they avoid the lame-duck spending Christmas tree. We should hold Democrats who oppose common-sense proof of citizenship requirements to account. Over 80% of Americans support they!

Only Americans should vote in American elections. This is clearly enshrined in the text of the U.S. Constitution and supported by law. The swamp creatures in either party should not pass a massive omnibus spending bill just before Christmas. Republicans can therefore create a win-win for the American people on both issues by freezing spending at current levels until 2025 and attaching the SAVE Act to protect the American people's vote.

Let's serve the American people.
