Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, told MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Report” on Sunday that prosecutors at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office have sued for hush money payments to 2016 porn star Stormy Daniels. He said he had called a grand jury as part of a criminal investigation. He asked him to come “as a counter-witness” on Monday.
Cohen said, “This morning I received a flood of calls from journalists asking if I would be back at the DA’s office tomorrow as a witness to their counterargument about who they had brought. I don’t know if it’s before a jury or just to meet with them for an interview, but yes, I’ve been asked to make myself available and be at the DA’s office tomorrow as a rebuttal witness. I got
Witt asked: Has it been clarified? ”
Cohen replied, “No, I don’t know who that person is. Obviously, once we know who the person is, we know what the problem is. I was personally involved. Repeat.” To tell you the truth, it’s a little premature to answer your question on the topic of not knowing who the person is or whether or not he goes.”
