Ivica Zubac, Dario Saric involved in nightclub fight in Greece

Two NBA players were apparently involved in an early morning altercation in Greece.

Nuggets center Dario Saric and Clippers center Ivica Zubac were caught on video. Published by TMZ Sports A fight broke out early Monday at the Bolivar Beach Bar in Alimos, a suburb of Athens, Greece.

The media outlet said the brawl happened at 5.30am, just hours after Croatia’s Olympic qualifier defeat to Greece, and that Zubac started fighting with another person when bar security tried to intervene.

Later in the video, Saric appears to move over to try and help his national team teammate before being placed in a headlock by another individual.

The brawl eventually subsided and security appeared to get the situation under control, escorting the two NBA players from the venue.

It’s unclear what caused the altercation, and TMZ Sports reported that “police did not appear to be on the scene.”

It was a tough day for Croatia, whose Olympic dreams were dashed after they lost 80-69 in the final to Greece, featuring NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Both Saric and Zubac played in the game, with Zubac finishing with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Saric himself also had a solid performance with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists.

The incident occurred just two days after Saric signed a two-year, $10.6 million contract with the Nuggets on Saturday. ESPN reported..

The deal also includes a player option.

A disappointing result for Croatia on the court means the country will again miss out on competing on sport’s biggest stage when the Olympic Games open in Paris later this month.

Croatia has not participated in the Olympic Games in basketball since Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
