JJ McCarthy was destined to be a quarterback from birth.
Unearthed home video aired on Wednesday’s “The Rich Eisen Show” shows the 2024 NFL Draft prospect’s father, Jim, seemingly predicting his son’s future the day McCarthy was born. It was reflected.
“Simply put, my father was the manifestation of my entire life, right before I was born,” McCarthy said during a sit-down with Eisen. “He was just considering the name and what my name would be. … And he was like, ‘This is going to be Daddy’s little quarterback.'”
“I’ve always known about pop,” McCarthy added.
The video showed McCarthy’s mother, Megan, sitting in a hospital bed while Jim recorded a conversation about potential names.
McCarthy, who is projected to be a first-round draft pick, said his father showed him the video six months ago, and Wednesday was the first time McCarthy shared it with anyone. Told.

McCarthy’s name has been linked to the Giants and Patriots, and the signal-caller said during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” that he spent the most time with the Giants during the pre-draft process.
Asked if he had any idea where he would be chosen, McCarthy replied, “I have some idea.”
