Michael Fanone, former CNN contributor, Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department police officer and something of a folk hero to MSNBC-addicted liberals, was assaulted during the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. . He later testified before the special committee on January 6, calling the rioters “terrorists.” Liberals have long hailed Fanone as a hero, a staunch defender of democracy and a celebrity of the resistance. What is Fanone doing now? CNN did not renew his contract, and Harris-Waltz's campaign did not use him as an agent. If President Trump wants to see him in prison, he might as well be killed in a gunfight. “I'm going to die here, at home,” he said. “I'm not going to participate in a military tribunal like 'The Apprentice.'” Fanone said he's not a “weirdo in the making” and is concerned about how law enforcement can be used as a weapon against people. “And I fully expect that to be the case.''
Whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy. Why not let go of your sources and self-esteem for a moment? I understand that you've fallen far from the glorious map of D.C. to the unrelated location of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but let's backtrack a bit. You're starting to sound like a character in a BlueAnon porn novel written by Nicole Wallace under a pseudonym.
Off-the-grid, prepper Fannone reminds me of Last Cohle from the HBO show “True Detective.” An outcast, slightly paranoid, shocking beer. However, Fannone isn't as complex as Matthew McConaughey. he wishes it were complicated, mysterious and dark.
It seems as if Fanone has made a new discovery. He went from cop to cable news celebrity to self-parody prepper in a matter of years. Let's see how long it lasts. I wouldn't be shocked if he came out of the picture for the 2026 midterm elections. Perhaps running for Congress? That is if he survives President Trump's broad daylight confrontation with the Gestapo.
