Jack Osbourne Claps Back at Body Shamers

Jack Osbourne, the 40-year-old media figure, recently took to Instagram to respond to critics who body shamed him for being “extremely underweight.” He expressed his frustration, remarking, “I can’t believe I actually had to make this crappy video.” In a candid moment, he shared that he hasn’t lost weight since his stint on “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” six months ago, explaining that the only noticeable changes have been shaving his head and growing a mustache.

He mentioned that he has been on a weight loss journey over the past three and a half years and stated, “I’ve continuously lost weight.” Jack recalled his heaviest weight at around 220 pounds and how realizing that pushed him to make a change. “What’s the big deal?” he remarked. “I’m 5 feet 8.5 inches tall and weigh 155 pounds. I’m perfectly healthy.” He expressed disbelief at facing more criticism now that he has reached what he sees as a healthy weight, noting the irony of being judged by the media throughout his life for being overweight.

Jack isn’t alone in this situation. His sister, Kelly Osbourne, has also faced scrutiny about her body. Following her appearance at the BRIT Awards, social media users directed hurtful comments at her, with one suggesting she should “ditch the Ozempic and eat a burger.” Kelly later shared a screenshot of these negative remarks, expressing disbelief about people’s cruelty. “It’s a special kind of cruelty to hurt someone who is clearly going through something,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, emphasizing the emotional weight of such comments.

Kelly also insisted that these remarks showed a “serious lack of compassion and decency,” and highlighted that she is enduring a tough time in her life, asserting, “I shouldn’t even have to defend myself.” She declared that she wouldn’t allow herself to be dehumanized by online haters.
