Jack Osbourne says he’s now voting for Trump after former president’s reaction to assassination attempt

Jack Osbourne, son of legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, has declared he will vote for former President Trump following a defiant response to the assassination attempt on him a week ago.

The media personality, who holds both British and American nationality, said,“The Osbournes” podcastIn it, the family is seen discussing the tragic events that occurred during a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.

“But this is probably an unpopular thing to say in the mainstream, but I’m going to vote for him after that,” Osborne said.

The discussion came up during Tuesday’s episode as family members, including Ozzy, his wife Sharon and daughters Kelly and Jack, discussed current events, culminating in the Trump assassination attempt.

Ozzy began the video by saying that he initially couldn’t believe the news that Trump had been shot. “When I first heard about it, I thought, ‘This isn’t real. This isn’t true.’ Thankfully, the guy was a bad shot.”

“But he killed someone,” the singer lamented, speaking of Corey Comperatore, a local firefighter who was shot and killed that day by gunman Thomas Crooks.

“It’s heartbreaking,” Sharon added, with Kelly echoing, “It’s horrible that innocent people have been hurt and killed.”

The family also expressed shock and disbelief at the security failures that led to the injuries of Trump and two others, and the death of Comperatore. Ozzie also commented that “guns are easy to get in America.”

Family members later described how Trump reacted to the gunfire as he fell to the ground, stood up and told rally attendees to “fight, fight, fight!”

Jack came out and stated that after seeing the exhibit, he would be voting for the former president.

His mother was surprised by Trump’s response, adding: “He’s strong as an ox.”

“Yeah,” his son agreed, adding, “But I think the president is supposed to be a leader, the president is supposed to be strong, he’s supposed to be able to overcome any challenge. He gets shot in the ear, he stands up, he shakes his fist at people who are trying to pull him off the stage. He doesn’t want to get off the stage.”

He continued, “Maybe he’s not a total liar, because when a liar is shot, the mask quickly falls away and his true character is revealed.”

His comments were a departure from his previous statements about Trump.

“I thought, ‘OK, you deserve to be slapped,'” Osbourne said of comments then-candidate Trump made during a 2015 interview on Meghan McCain’s radio show about the host’s father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Kelly Osbourne also made some anti-Trump comments during an appearance on The View in 2015 that appeared to backfire in real time. In front of then-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez, Osbourne asked, “If we kick all the Latinos out of this country, Donald Trump, who’s going to clean the toilets?” Clearly horrified, she tried to walk back the comment, but it went viral and is the subject of ridicule to this day.
