Police in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, responded to a shooting in the downtown area Sunday night that left one person dead and two others injured.
Jacksonville Beach police told local station WFOX that multiple shooting suspects remain at large.
Authorities initially asked everyone to shelter in place, but the order was lifted at 10:54 p.m. as officers continued to work at the scene of the shooting. A heavy police presence was observed near 2nd Avenue North and 1st Street North in the Jacksonville Beach area.

The downtown Jacksonville Beach/bar area and beachfront were placed on “lockdown” after the crime scene spread to the area, said Sgt. Tonya Tater said at a press conference Sunday night, according to ABC News.
Witnesses told WFOX they saw multiple ambulances and police cars near the scene.
Jacksonville Fire Rescue said two people were taken to the hospital, one in critical condition and the other with non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim was confirmed dead.

The two surviving victims are said to be in stable condition.
One victim was reportedly shot in the Sneaker parking lot and in critical condition, and the other two were shot on 2nd Avenue North.
