The Jacksonville Jaguars are picking up in the top five again. You can make the argument that there are no big holes in this roster. But with the premium picks they have, the jugs are opportunistic and can meet your most pressing needs early. But what are their most pressing needs? We ranked them here.
1. Cornerback
Jacksonville Jaguar According to FTN Fantasy, he was the last person to die in DVOA's NFL. Cornerback Tyson Campbell is good when he's healthy (when the healthy part is a problem), but his other location was a clear weakness for Jaguar.
Best fit: Johnson, Michigan, Azareyo, Thomas, FloridaBenjamin Morrison, Notre Dame
2. Defensive tackle
The Jaguars finished 31st place in a pressure percentage, despite Josh Hines Allen and Travon Walker finishing in 16th and 19th place in total pressure among defensive linemen, respectively. Jaguars need to push further from the interior and most of their defensive tackles are running stoppers above all else, so they need to rush three techniques DT to make this defense even better.
Best fit: Mason Graham, Michigan, Darius Alexander, Toledo, Omar Norman Lott, Tennessee
3. Aggressive security guard
Jaguars need some physicality inside the offensive line. Right guard Brandon Shelf may leave, and Mitch Morse Centre is also long in his teeth. New Jags head coach Liam Coen really changed the Bucs offense when he went to more gap schemes and used his athletic lineman to reach the edge of defense. Outside of Ezra Cleveland, the Jaguars don't have any offensive interior linemen who can do that, so expect them to go early.
Best Fit: Kelvin Banks, Texas, Marcus MBOW, Purdue, Glazabelle, North Dakota
4. safety
Andre Cisco is a free agent and the depth behind him has not stepped up at all. Antonio Johnson wasn't very good enough for deep security to make him his successor there, and Darnell Savage had been in the role of nickel more than last season. As the depth of the safety room looks miserable, it could be the position they chose to deal with in the draft.
Best fit: Malaki Starks, Georgia, Xavier Watts, Notre Dame, Nick Emanwy, South Carolina
