Things were about to go from bad to worse in Jacksonville, just before the team's first win.
According to multiple reports, quarterback Trevor Lawrence and wideout Gabe Davis “got caught up in it” on the sideline after a Jaguars drive, with Lawrence reportedly throwing a tablet and Davis yelling. Citing CBS broadcast.
The sideline report did not include video of the incident, but the heat exchange reportedly showed Lawrence throwing an incomplete pass on third down and hitting Davis open while running a different route. Following a sequence that appeared to be off, reportedly ending the Jacksonville drive with just over four men with just a few minutes left in the opening quarter.

This was the latest low point in a rocky start to the 2024 season for the Jaguars, who were emerging as an AFC contender before collapsing late last year.
After an 0-4 start to the season heading into Sunday's game against the Colts, Lawrence completed just 53 percent of his passes, throwing four touchdowns and one interception.
In the end, the Jaguars won 37-34, but improved to 1-4.
The problems go beyond the offense, as Jacksonville's defense came under fire in Week 3 against the Bills on Monday Night Football, allowing 34 points in the first half and 47 points overall. Although the season is already spiraling out of control, the head coach said: Doug Pederson insisted Wednesday he didn't lose the locker room.
“I would know,” Pederson told reporters. “I talk to them every day, I see them every day.”
But the 25-year-old is under increasing pressure and scrutiny, given that Lawrence is a former No. 1 overall pick who earned a five-year, $275 million contract extension in June. .
That continued Sunday, when he threw an interception.
But Lawrence also showed off the talent that has made him one of the league's top signal callers, scoring an 85-yard touchdown with rookie wideout Brian Thomas Jr. in the second quarter.
Davis, who signed with the Jaguars in the offseason after spending four seasons with the Bills, caught both targets for 28 yards as the Jaguars built a 20-17 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Through the first four games against the Jaguars, Davis had 21 targets and caught nine of them for 121 yards.
Jacksonville will play its next two games in London against the Bears and Patriots before playing the Packers on Oct. 27.
