Broncos Player Hopes for a Song from Taylor Swift
Cornerback Jahday Barron of the Broncos stirred things up on social media following Denver’s 22-19 victory over the Chiefs. He expressed a wish for Taylor Swift to feature him in one of her songs.
Swift, engaged to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has mentioned that he’s been a big inspiration for her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Barron shared a snapshot of himself and Kelce from the game on his Instagram Story, captioning it, “Tell Swift to put it in my song.” Interestingly, that post has since disappeared.
In a subsequent post, he joked about feeling overwhelmed, saying, “Everyone is vandalizing my phone… I’m trying to be an artist and I just need help.” He later added on X, “I want to be an artist. It helps me solve problems,” along with a bunch of laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, the Week 11 matchup was bittersweet for Kelce as he reached a personal milestone but saw his team’s loss overshadow it. With a 21-yard touchdown catch, he passed previous franchise record holder Priest Holmes, marking his 84th total touchdown with the Chiefs.
He had tied the record earlier this season in a win against the Washington Commanders. Currently, the Chiefs hold a 5-5 record, battling to keep their playoff hopes alive with a game against the Colts on Sunday.
It’s been a while since the Chiefs missed the playoffs—2014, to be exact. Since 2016, they’ve also clinched the district championship every year.
Swift and Kelce have been dating since the summer of 2023, with their engagement announced back in August. She notably attended the Super Bowl where the Chiefs edged the 49ers in a thrilling overtime finish.
