SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – Jake Paul put on a show before a crowd of hundreds at Friday night’s weigh-in.
Paul will face Puerto Rico’s most experienced opponent, Ryan Borland, on Saturday night.
Borland, known as “Rhino,” is a former Golden Gloves champion who fought 19 times professionally.
Borland’s overall record is 17 wins and 2 losses.

Paul has made Puerto Rico his home in recent years and credits the island for his success in boxing, saying it has allowed him to train harder and settle in more easily.
But he didn’t have much of a home ring advantage at Distrito T-Mobile in San Juan.
A large crowd of Rhino supporters gathered in the audience, some chanting “Fuck, Jake Paul” when he appeared on stage.
So Paul, the troll master, incited them accordingly. When asked by reporter Ariel Helwani about his feelings, he replied:
“Fa, sai,” he sang several times.

Borland supporters responded with chants of “F—-Jake Paul.”
But Paul had the last word.
“I’m tired of these stupid rhinos roaming this mother’s island. Tomorrow they’ll be extinct. I promise you.”

At Thursday’s press conference, Paul even joked about Borland’s nickname, saying he “doesn’t embody the true rhino spirit” after Borland said he was not a vegan.
At that point, Helwani asked Borland if he felt Paul respected him.
“That doesn’t matter,” Borland replied.
Paul is coming off a fight that lasted less than a round. On December 15th, he knocked out Andre August and waved goodbye on the mat. With this match, his professional record improved to 8 wins and 1 loss.

Saturday will be Borland’s first game since September 17, 2022.
