Jake Paul defeats Mike Tyson by unanimous decision

Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in Texas on Friday night.

The anti-Paul, and very pro-Tyson crowd was buzzing after Amanda Serrano was supposedly robbed against Katie Taylor in the previous match.

Paul came out listening to Phil Collins' “In the Air Tonight” and mocked Tyson's appearance on “The Hangover.” Meanwhile, Tyson's head-bobbing music excited the entire crowd.

Paul immediately leans into Tyson, causing many boos. That was a good idea because Tyson was getting shots early. But Paul clearly held his opinion in the first round.

Paul connected with a left in the third, and Tyson was starting to show his age. From then on, the rest of the match was pretty climactic, with even the crowd roaring and many heading for the exits before the result was announced.

NETFLIX under fire as fight fans tuning in to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson face myriad problems

AT&T Stadium desperately tried to rally behind Tyson every time he landed something, but nothing worked. Before the final bell, Paul bowed to Tyson and the two shared a very long hug.

Tyson said he didn't know if this would be his last fight, but joked about fighting Paul's younger brother Logan.

Both men said they were not surprised by the result, with Tyson saying he was happy with what he did in the ring, saying he wasn't in the ring to please the world and what he could do. He said he was in the ring just to prove himself.

The former heavyweight champion added that Paul “absolutely” deserves respect as a boxer.
