One of the strangest sporting events in history has finally arrived.
Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, 58, once dubbed the “baddest man on the planet,” and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 27, will appear tonight at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium. They will face off in a professional boxing match. The game will be streamed on Netflix at 8pm ET in Arlington, Texas.
The fight was originally scheduled to take place on July 20, but was postponed after Tyson's ulcer returned and he began coughing up blood.
This will be Tyson's first professional boxing match since June 11, 2005, when he lost to Kevin McBride. He faced Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition on November 28, 2020, which ended in a draw.
Paul fought on the same card and defeated former Knicks guard Nate Robinson by KO in his second professional fight.
“Problem Child” is 10-1 as a boxer with many wins over MMA fighters, most recently a TKO victory over Mike Perry in July.
His only loss was on February 26, 2023, against Tommy Fury, the younger brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
