Jake Tapper mentioned to Megyn Kelly that he called Lara Trump to express regret over his 2020 interview with her.
Tapper stated, “I’ve already apologized to her. I called her a few months back.”
He went on to say, “As I mentioned, her comments seem to be holding up well, while mine are not. I take full responsibility for that.”

Tapper reiterated, “I’ve already apologized to her. I reached out a few months ago.” He felt that the call went well, mentioning that Trump assured him she wouldn’t mock anyone’s stuttering.
“I first came across Lara Trump’s remarks regarding Joe Biden’s stuttering in January 2020, through conservative outlets and the Daily Mail. I noticed how her comments were interpreted. The background for this extends into October 2020.”
