Jalen Hurts of the Eagles Comments After Missing Super Bowl Celebration at the White House

Jalen Hurts Comments on White House Visit

Recently, the Philadelphia Eagles visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl LIX victory with President Donald Trump. Notably, several players were absent, including the Super Bowl MVP, Jalen Hurts.

Wide receiver AJ Brown, a three-time Pro Bowler, also chose not to attend the event at the White House. In a press conference on Tuesday, Hurts explained that his decision was not motivated by political reasons. “I was not available,” Hurts stated.

There had been discussions around the implications of some players skipping the visit, suggesting it could send a political message. Hurts disagreed with that notion, saying, “I don’t think that’s appropriate. Everyone who could go seemed to enjoy themselves.”

It was a scheduling conflict that kept him away, as he attended the Met Gala shortly after. Although Hurts recognized that his absence might have grabbed attention, he seemed indifferent to the media’s focus on the situation. He might be able to manage this narrative more smoothly, but that’s just his take.
