Jalen Hurts, the newlywed quarterback, expresses gratitude for his “rock” as he embarks on his first NFL season as a Super Bowl champion and husband.
During an interview on “Good Morning America,” Hurts shared some personal insights about his marriage to Breona “Bry” Burrows, following their beautiful celebration in Napa Valley earlier in the summer.
“You know where your strength comes from. You know where your rocks are. And they are what encourage you whenever you step into something,” Hurts remarked.
Hurts, who earned the Super Bowl MVP title in 2026, has had a journey that began at the University of Alabama.
Although they keep much of their relationship private, the couple enjoyed a memorable moment on the field after the Eagles’ victory at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans last February.
“The offense did well and capitalized on opportunities, while the defense played hard,” Hurts commented after the game. “I really believe that the offense wins the game and the defense wins the championship.”
Following the Eagles’ Super Bowl win, Hurts confirmed in a men’s health cover story that he is married.
When speaking of Burrows, he said simply, “You can call her my wife.”
The couple exchanged vows at two ceremonies in June, showcasing their bond in Napa Valley, California.
“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts reflected. “At this point in my life, it’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that allowed us to get where we are.”
The Eagles, with Hurts leading, will kick off their season at home against their division rivals, the Cowboys, on Thursday night.
