Jamal Wallace from Utah faces a rape investigation after reportedly sharing a video of the incident.

Jamal Wallace, a football player from Utah, is currently being investigated regarding accusations of raping a woman and allegedly distributing videos of the incident on social media.

Earlier this month, the senior defensive tackle was suspended indefinitely from the team, as confirmed by a school spokesperson on Wednesday.

The university released a statement saying, “We became aware of the situation involving Jamal Wallace on Oct. 11, leading to his immediate indefinite suspension. We take such issues seriously, and since this is an ongoing legal matter, we can’t offer further comments at this time.”

According to arrest documents, Wallace has denied the allegations against him.

On Oct. 9, the woman, who reportedly had an intermittent romantic relationship with Wallace, informed police that as they were discussing their relationship, he allegedly took control, forcing her to perform oral sex. The documentation states she had wanted to continue their conversation about “infidelity and their relationship,” but Wallace “persistently held her head down forcibly.”

The situation escalated to the point where she began to cry, and he proceeded to have sex with her while saying “she belonged to him.” She reportedly attempted to pull away several times and claimed he struck her multiple times, taking her phone to record and share videos of the act with five contacts on Snapchat.

Upon discovering that Wallace had posted the videos, she expressed feeling “confused and disgusting.” Law enforcement in Salt Lake City has since located the alleged videos and verified that the phone was in Wallace’s possession at the time they were recorded.

Wallace reportedly claimed he accessed the woman’s Snapchat account to check her conversations, per the arrest documents.

He hasn’t been charged yet during the ongoing investigation and was released on $5,000 bail following his arrest.

Wallace, who transferred from Tennessee, was apprehended on Oct. 11 by Salt Lake City authorities and is under scrutiny for rape and forcible sodomy.

He faces five misdemeanor charges and the woman also accuses him of sharing an intimate photo and video of the incident on Snapchat.

Having joined the Utes after two seasons at Tennessee, Wallace has played in only one game for Utah—specifically their season opener against Idaho—and has primarily served as depth for the team, though he played in six games during his time at Tennessee in 2025.
