Jameis Winston is Really I'm ready to play soccer on Thursday.
In fact, he may have been preparing for a “battle”.
Either way, the Browns quarterback is excited to play against the Steelers, and he made that clear on the field before the game in a unique interview with Prime Video's Kaylee Hartung.
When asked what it would take to beat the rival Steelers, Winston was happy to answer.
“The horse is preparing for battle, but the victory comes from the Lord, so I'm relying on the Lord,” Browns (3-8) said against Steelers (8-3). He said this before the team's 24-19 upset victory.
When asked in a follow-up if that was his message to the team, Winston said, “Every day, one play at a time, that's the message.”
But when asked how playing in winter-like conditions, with howling winds, light snow and temperatures that drop to near freezing, Winston flashed a wide smile and responded enthusiastically: .
“I’m so happy and grateful that the Lord blessed me to play in the snow,” the quarterback said. “To come to Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio today, in true football weather, to bring him glory. What a great day.”
The game was something of a historic one for Winston, who had never played in temperatures above 40 degrees at kickoff, according to NFL Network.

Before Thursday night's win, Winston was 1-2 with 1,047 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions since starting in place of the injured Deshaun Watson.
He just came off a game against the Saints in which he threw for a season-high 395 yards.
But now he's leaving the dome for snowy Cleveland.
