Democratic strategist James Carville finally admitted that he doesn’t want President Joe Biden to run for reelection.
Carville has been warning for months that Democrats could lose to Donald Trump in November. Not only does Carville say Democrats “need to wake up” because Biden is a weak candidate, but he also believes the far-left has exerted undue influence over the party and that Democratic leaders are being bullied. Focusing on the wrong problem.
“I have to live in the world I have to live in, not the world I wanted to live in.”
On Sunday, Carville’s criticism reached a fever pitch.
During a radio interview with WABC’s “The Cats Roundtable,” Carville revealed he doesn’t want Biden to run for president this year.
“We have a choice to make in November, and it’s not a choice I was crazy about,” Carville said. “I thought President Biden shouldn’t run for reelection, but he did. It’s him and Trump. And that’s the position I’m in now.”
Although Carville disagrees with Biden’s decision, he supports Biden’s campaign against Trump “1,000 percent” and said he intends to vote for Biden on Election Day.
Carville said what’s “underestimated about the current state of the Democratic Party” is the deep talent pool to buttress his position that Biden should not have sought reelection.
Specifically, Carville named Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (Democrat), Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (Democrat), Maryland Governor Wes Moore (Democrat), and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (Democrat).
“There’s a lot of talent out there, a lot of it young, vibrant, energetic,” he said. “I thought President Biden should consider not running, but that was not his choice. I have to live in the world that I have to live in, not the world that I wanted to live in.”
Still, Carville this world.
Last week, Carville argued that the media had a duty to be activists for the Biden campaign, advising them to bias their reporting to damage Trump because “the Constitution is at stake.”
“I’m not opposed to biased reporting, I really am,” Carville said. Said“At almost any other time in American history I would have been against the Constitution, but not now. Fuck objectivity. The only real objectivity in this country right now is either have a Constitution or don’t have a Constitution.”
