Jamie Foxx’s co-star and friend Garcelle Beauvais has addressed rumors that the ‘Dayshift’ star is ‘close to death’ due to recent health issues.
In an interview with People magazine, the 56-year-old actress commented on the speculation after Fox, 55, was hospitalized due to “complications,” according to a statement shared last month by her daughter Corinne.
When asked if he had been able to send his congratulations to the comedian, Beauvais replied, “Yes, of course.”
“I’ve spoken to my family, but I don’t want to say too much because it’s my family, but it breaks my heart to hear these horrible rumors.” [about Jamie’s health] I was running around,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added.
She continued, “…we got the right information right away. [but] I don’t think a human can run with something like that. hurting so many people. ”

Beauvais met Foxx when she played Jamie King’s girlfriend Francesca “Fancy” Monroe in Jamie Foxx from 1996 to 2001. The two then co-starred in the 2013 political action thriller White House Down.
Corinne revealed in a now-deleted Instagram post on April 12 that Fox had been sexually assaulted. “Medical complications” The day before, “swift action and extreme caution” helped him recover. She did not provide further details about the medical complications.
The 29-year-old actress made the statement Friday in a post on her Instagram Story after several reports surfaced about the health condition of the Academy Award winner. She wrote her reply below a screenshot of the article headlined, “Jamie Foxx’s lovers reportedly preparing for the worst.”
“Family update: Sad to see media outrage,” Corinne wrote. “My father has been out of the hospital recovering for weeks. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thank you for all your prayers and support.”

Corinne is a DJ on Fox’s interactive game show Beat Shazam, which is hosted by her father. Both of them left the program because of his medical condition. Kelly Osbourne will temporarily replace Colin and Nick Cannon will replace Foxx.

“I think he’s one of the most talented and incredible people in the industry,” Osborne said. “She was so honored to be asked to keep Corinne’s seat warm while everything was going on. She had a lot of fun. I think she did her justice.”

On Friday’s “The Today Show,” Osbourne opened up about his love for Fox. “I think he’s one of the most talented and incredible people in the industry,” said the TV personality.
She continued, “It was such an honor to be asked to keep Corinne’s seat warm while so much was going on. It was so much fun and I think I did her justice.”
