Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, welcomed her first child last month.
She and her husband, Stephen Whisman, became parents to a son named Archie on December 30.
“We took some time to get used to our new rhythm before sharing this wonderful news 🤍,” Jana shared on Instagram, expressing that her life has changed profoundly. She mentioned feeling an overwhelming sense of love and gratitude during these early days of parenthood.
Over the summer, she had proudly shown off her baby bump and told her followers just how “excited” she was about the impending arrival of their child.
In an August post, she had revealed her pregnancy, noting, “In January 2026, we will add a little joy to our family.” It sounded like a sweet anticipation, counting down the days to this new chapter in her life.
The former reality star and her husband shared intimate moments on social media, with Jana posting a photo where she affectionately hugged Stephen’s stomach.
Her sisters celebrated her announcement online, with Jessa expressing her excitement to meet the baby, and Jill conveying their joy as well.
Earlier, Jana had remarked on reaching the halfway point of her pregnancy, feeling amazed at how quickly time was passing and enjoying those little heartbeats. In November, she and her sister-in-law Abbie revealed the baby’s gender, confirming they were expecting a boy.
Jana and Stephen got married in August 2024 in Arkansas after reigniting their romance. They had briefly dated before, from 2020 to 2022, but found their way back to each other early last year.
