Hollywood star Jane Fonda is not a fan of Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D), calling him a “bad governor” for his stance on fossil fuels.
Jane Fonda criticized Colorado Gov. Jared Polis during an appearance on Bill Maher's “Club Random” podcast earlier this week, but Maher casually mentioned that Polis was also a former guest.
“Sorry!” Fonda interjected. “He's a bad governor.”
She explained that the Denver suburb of Commerce City is located near a refinery site, which she claims is killing the town's residents. “He doesn't do anything. He doesn't do anything about it. Neither do the senators.”
Maher asked Fonda for details.
“Because he makes money from the fossil fuel industry. I'll bet anything,” she replied.
Mr. Maher pointed out that Mr. Polis was a “liberal Democrat,” to which Mr. Fonda responded that he was a “liberal Democrat.”
“He hates regulations,” she said. “We're living in a soup of toxic chemicals. If we don't regulate it, we're all going to die of cancer. He won't do anything about it.”
As Breitbart News reported, Jane Fonda claimed earlier this year that a second Trump administration would bring about climate change.
“Who wins in November will determine whether we have a livable future. It's that simple. There are very tough choices and although I'm not 100% satisfied with President Biden, , he's someone we can work with and someone the American people can work with,” she said on CNN in June.
