Jannik Sinner v Casper Ruud: ATP Finals tennis semi-final – live | ATP Finals

There was some hugely entertaining stuff in that set but Sinner was a runaway train, he takes it in bang on thirty minutes. Ruud needs to find another level or four to make a fist of it in the next.

2nd set: *Sinner 6-1, 1-1 Ruud

“Get up and do it,” says Ray Winstone. sorry – Tim Henman. Ruud does just that, moving forward with deft footwork and playing with controlled aggression. He pins Sinner and sends out the winner. Henman is probably purring on the side of the courtroom, stroking his big tanned belly. No, it's Winston again.

held by sinners This all looks a little creepy, even though Ludo is coming towards him. The audience clearly thinks so too and starts to support Rude even more as they don't want to go home before getting their euros' worth.

Ruud makes the first serve to make it 40-15. Sinner hit a crosscourt forehand too wide, and the Norwegian was on the board at the start of the second set. He needed big time.

Jannik Sinner takes the first set 6-1!

There were some very funny things on that set, but the sinner was a runaway train. He took it all at once in 30 minutes. Ludo then has to find one or four more levels to achieve it.

1st set: Sinner 5-1 Rude*

Ruud's timing is a little off, his racket goes a little off the frame, and there's no room for a freebie to Sinner at all.

nice tennis! Rude hits a drop shot with a ton of slices, but somehow Sinner corners it and puts his racket under it. The fact that it came back was also true for Roode, who hit an off-balance reply into the net. Sinner gets a double break and the crowd goes wild.. If this isn't going to turn into something like a matrix, Rude needs to be more astute.

1st set: *Sinner 4-1 Rude

Have some of that! Ruud plays a brilliant forehand pass down the line, but Sinner can only watch in awe as the ball flies by. Roode stepped up his aggression and it paid off, earning him two break points.

The sinner gets out of one with the serve and out of the other with the volley. No drama. Ruud uses his relentless hitting from the back of the court to corner him from his advantage, but Sinner isn't at the top of men's tennis for nothing. He absorbs the pressure, raises the bar himself, possession. That might be the first set decided by that one match.

1st set: Sinner 3-1 Ruud*

Good play from Casper Ruud, the Norwegian settled into his game and looked in good spirits, getting on the board with his serve on his second request. Sinners won't have their way tonight in Turin.

1st set: Sinner 2-0 Ruud* (* indicates server)

Ruud came close to the net door early on and eased the nerves with a nice forehand. What a gathering! You might not be able to find anything better all night long. Both players toy with their opponents with backhands, forehands, slices, power, and precision. After a fierce battle, Sinner opted for a drop shot, which Ruud chased and succeeded, but Sinner delivered a delicious volley lob that landed perfectly in the back corner. Ludo applauded, but the Italians found it too hot to bear. break The first time you asked a question.

Sinners in black shirts, light blue shorts, and white hats roam the baseline, ready to be released. Rude waits on the other side of the net wearing a white bandana, and all of Burgundy stands up. Sinner opened his shoulders and found corners with both his serve and groundstrokes, and Ruud scrubbed along the baseline but was unable to make much of an impact.

Tim Henman and Laura Robson I'd like to see Ruud embrace his natural aggressive play and swing instead of being reckless. Sinner has no real weaknesses, is a monster on both sides of the court and is the current No. 1 in the world.

“I know I'm the underdog, but I'm going to fight as hard as I can,” Ruud said at the pre-fight press conference, adding that playing against Sinner is always “a lot of fun and a challenge.” Ta.

Sinner is very strong from the back of the court so we might see him come to the net a little more than usual, it will be difficult to go toe-to-toe with the Italian from the back, Ruud looks to mix it up well Might turn it up. “Why not!?” Henman says with a toothy grin.

Sinner is the favorite to win this match. Will Ruud be able to make an impact in Turin, where he will receive a roar from the home crowd? You would think he would have to take the first set and give the big Italian a collie wobble.

Ruud, 25, has reached the ATP Finals three times, but lost in the 2022 final to the aging Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Tonight's opponent knows that feeling all too well, with Sinner dispatched by Djokovic in the same manner in last year's final.

Hello, Turin, and welcome to the second semi-final of the ATP Finals. Homeboy and up-and-comer Jannik Sinner will face off against the impressive Norwegian Casper Ruud.

Tonight's winner will face American Taylor Fritz, who defeated Alexander Zverev in a three-setter today in a match that had to be decided in a tie-break.

Expect a decent duel tonight, but the first serve will be broken within 30 minutes. Would you like to make a lot of noise together?
