Jared Allen Reflects on Hall of Fame Induction Speech

Jared Allen, a Hall of Fame football player, appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday morning. He discussed the emotional address he delivered during his enshrinement ceremony, highlighting his Christian faith, and expressing gratitude toward his wife and daughter.

Allen shared with co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones, and Charlie Hart, saying, “That’s really what my life has been about. They are my top priority.”

This past weekend, the former Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs player was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. He spoke movingly about his spiritual journey and directed heartfelt words to his family.

In his address, Allen told his wife, Amy, “I respect you every day, and I love you more than life itself.” For his daughters, Brinley and Lakelin, he mentioned, “You are my greatest accomplishment. If people talked about my gold jacket and career without mentioning you, then I would have failed as a father, husband, and friend.”

He confessed that he didn’t anticipate how significant his speech would be, aiming to bring humor while imparting a meaningful message to his children.

“In the Bible, Paul and Peter are told not to worry about their words, and that resonated with me. I just wanted to speak sincerely to my family and friends,” he explained.

Although Allen’s wife and daughters appreciated his words in the moment, he hopes the sentiments will resonate more deeply as they grow older. “I want them to reflect on these moments and understand what true greatness is, not just in what you do, but how you pursue your passions,” he added.
