Jared Kushner’s dad named French ambassador

President-elect Trump has nominated wealthy New Jersey real estate developer Charles Kushner to be the next ambassador to France.

Kushner, 70, who was known to President Trump in industry, was convicted in 2005 of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering as part of a sordid family scandal.

In 2020, Kushner was among 26 people granted full pardons by President Trump.
