Jarrett Stidham’s wife celebrates Broncos QB’s first career win after Russell Wilson’s benching

Jarrett Stidham has been on a roll since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. But on Sunday, the veteran got his first chance to start for the Denver Broncos.

Stidham was named the starter in Week 17 after Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson was suddenly benched due to an apparent injury guaranteed in his contract. Last Sunday, Stidham's performance was a little shaky, but he did enough to lead the Broncos to a 16-9 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Broncos' win marked Stidham's first career win as a starter in the NFL. The victory also provoked a reaction from his wife Kennedy, one of Stidham's biggest supporters.

Kennedy is a former football player at Baylor University, where Stidham's college football career began. The quarterback ultimately transferred to Auburn.

After the game, Payton said, “(Stidham) was calm and collected.” “He was efficient in and out of the huddle.”
