Jarrett Stidham's wife experiences a 'storm of feelings' following Bo Nix's injury

Things have been challenging for the Broncos since their starting quarterback, Bo Nix, suffered a serious ankle injury during an overtime victory against the Bills in the divisional round. His wife, Kennedy Stidham, shared her emotions regarding the situation in a recent Instagram post.

Jarrett Stidham, 29, is set to make his first postseason start for the Broncos in the upcoming AFC Championship Game against the Patriots.

“I was so emotional after yesterday’s game,” Kennedy wrote, expressing her pride in the team despite the circumstances.

She echoed her encouragement by resharing a photo of Stidham with the phrase, “Do it for Beau.”

Nix’s injury occurred during a crucial moment—on a first-and-10 play at the Buffalo 36-yard line while overtime was winding down. He will undergo surgery to repair the injury on Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama.

In the game, Nix completed 26 of 46 passes, racking up 279 yards along with three touchdowns and one interception.

This season, Stidham has appeared in just one game, contributing to a significant win against the Cowboys earlier in the year. Over seven NFL seasons, he played in 20 games and started four but has never seen postseason action until now.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton expressed confidence in Stidham’s readiness for his new role, recalling how he was trained in New England and observing Stidham’s mental agility and understanding of the game during practices. “He will be ready for that moment,” Payton affirmed.

Stidham previously stepped in for Russell Wilson during Denver’s last two games of the regular season, finishing with a 1-1 record. A fourth-round draft pick in 2019, he joined the Broncos after Payton’s hiring and secured a two-year contract last March.
