
The widely famous American writer and philosopher Henry David Thoreau once said, “The true price of a thing is the amount of life it takes in exchange.”
Jace Robertson of “Unshamed” expressed a similar sentiment when a friend asked him for advice about future career opportunities.
When he tells Jace that this new job will make him “much more money,” it will also “take me away from work.” [his] Jace’s first question was: “You have enough money to live on, right?”
His friend replied, “Oh, I got a lot, but this is going to be a lot more.”
“As a man of God in your home…especially if you have teenage children at home, there’s a lot more money if you go there and tell them you’ve been offered this promotion, but your You say no because your main goal is to meet them in heaven,” Jace replied.
“Just that word can really improve your relationship with your teens,” he said, adding, “When you’re away from home five days a week, it can be hard to be involved in their lives.” .
