Jasmine Crockett’s Campaign Expenses Raise Eyebrows

Recent filings with the Federal Election Commission reveal that Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has allocated nearly $75,000 for expenses related to luxury hotels, transportation, and security in various U.S. cities this year.

The expenses detail lavish hotel stays and transportation in prominent locations such as Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, despite her representation of Texas’ 30th Congressional District, which is centered around Dallas.

To date, Crockett’s campaign has spent approximately $25,748.87 specifically on high-end hotels and limousine services since January. Key hotel expenditures include $4,175.01 at The Ritz-Carlton and $2,304.79 at The Luxury Collection. In Los Angeles, over $5,300 was spent at the West Hollywood Edition, and additional costs of more than $2,000 were incurred at both the Cosmopolitan and Aria Resort in Las Vegas.

Crockett’s campaign also paid around $2,728.00 for chauffeur services through Transportation 4U in Chicago, alongside $2,310.30 to DCA Car LLC, a luxury car and limousine provider, and $1,254.00 for another Bay Area limousine.

Interestingly, the transportation service, Transportation 4U, shared a photo of Crockett during her Chicago visit on social media, describing it as an honor to provide her with transportation.

In the same timeframe, nearly $50,000 has gone towards security, which seems contradictory to her previous stances advocating for defunding the police. Back in 2021, while serving in the Texas House, Crockett stated that the Defund movement aimed to invest in communities to address the root causes of crime.

Fox News Digital reached out to her for comment regarding these expenses but did not receive a response before publication.

Crockett Eyes Senate Run Amid Redistricting Concerns

As one of the more prominent figures in the Democratic Party, Crockett has expressed serious interest in running for the Senate against incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).

In October, she indicated, “We’re serious enough to spend a lot of money to get the data.” Her decision to pursue a Senate seat will hinge on data insights and the Republican nominee’s profile.

Cornyn is currently in a competitive primary race for his fifth term, facing off against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Congressman Wesley Hunt.

This year hasn’t been without its controversies for Crockett. She faced significant backlash after referring to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is wheelchair-bound, as “Governor Hot Wheels” during an LGBTQ charity event.

Following the outcry, Crockett claimed her comments were misinterpreted, insisting she did not intend to mock Abbott’s disability but rather criticized his policies that allegedly stirred tensions regarding immigration.

Moreover, Crockett has defended Jay Jones, the future Democratic Attorney General of Virginia, who faced criticism for remarks in which he speculated about violence against a Republican lawmaker.

She conveyed excitement over Jones’s election victory, acknowledging that while she had never met him, she appreciated his campaign efforts. In discussing the political landscape, she remarked on the challenges faced by Democrats and emphasized the importance of standing strong against Republican maneuvers.
