Jasmine Crockett Believes Republicans Feel ‘Threatened’ By Her And AOC

Texas Representative Comments on Republican Strategy

On a recent episode of “The Conversation with Dasha Barnes,” Democratic Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett suggested that the political right is attempting to highlight her as a potential leader because they see her as a rising figure in her district.

Crockett has garnered attention for her provocative remarks and criticisms directed at the Republican Party, notably referring to wheelchair-bound Texas Governor Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels.” During her conversation with Barnes, she noted that conservatives appear to back her and Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because of their connection to supporters of former President Donald Trump.

“I believe they see us as a threat and are trying to stop us before it becomes too much of a threat,” Crockett asserted.

Burns questioned why some on the right seem to elevate Democrats like Crockett and Ocasio-Cortez as representatives of their party. Crockett speculated, “Personally, I think they are intimidated,” pointing out her colleagues’ successful fundraising and ability to engage large audiences.

She remarked, “For a lot of the people I believe he’s trying to reach, AOC is one of the few who can actually make a breakthrough. I would argue that as long as I oppose him, I’ll get some of those folks too,” reiterating her stance that Trump perceives her as a significant figure to target.

“I’ve traveled through various cities and airports, and while people don’t wear their political affiliation on their sleeves, they approach me with differing views but express support,” Crockett shared. “I think that’s why he’s so focused on us. Yet, ironically, he’s just elevating our profiles. It leads people to think, ‘If they feel threatened by AOC, who is still in her 30s, and me, in my early 40s, perhaps we’re having an impact.'”

Trump has often criticized Crockett, labeling her as a “low IQ person” and expressing doubts about her capability to lead within the Democratic Party.

In a related context, Ocasio-Cortez previously claimed that Republican criticism stemmed from “extraordinary sexual frustration.”
