Rep. Crockett Issues Warning to Trump Amid Epstein Investigation
Progressive Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas recently sent a striking warning to former President Donald Trump as Democrats dig deeper into potential connections to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities. This statement followed Ghislaine Maxwell’s closed deposition before the House Oversight Committee, where she opted to invoke the Fifth Amendment rather than answer questions from lawmakers.
Crockett expressed her frustration directly, stating, “We’re going to kick his ass,” during a press briefing. She highlighted the serious implications of a former president having a felony record, mentioning “a felon with 34 convictions” and criticized the ongoing protection he receives regarding the child sex trafficking allegations.
She contrasted Trump’s situation with that of the Clintons, both of whom have been called to testify, insisting that her stance was not partisan. “Listen, I know Donald Trump’s name comes up more. I want him brought in as well. This is not about partisanship for Democrats. This is about right and wrong,” she added.
Crockett’s comments came as the Clintons’ legal team communicated their willingness to finalize agreements regarding their testimonies, although they sought to testify in a televised format instead of the private video sessions scheduled.
Reflecting on the controversy, Crockett remarked, “What they want to do is operate behind closed doors and then come out with whatever spin they want.” She emphasized that both Trump and Bill Clinton appear in the released Epstein files, but emphasized that neither has been implicated in any wrongdoing related to Epstein.
It’s noteworthy to mention that Crockett is currently in the race for the Senate seat held by Republican Senator John Cornyn.
