Jasmine Crockett Describes Republicans as ‘Inherently’ Violent While Dismissing Her Own Party’s Extremism

During a podcast on Tuesday, Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett criticized Republicans, labeling them as “violence” while downplaying left-wing extremism. She has quickly risen to prominence within the House Democrats, known for her charged remarks and provocative language, including referring to Texas Governor Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels.” Crockett depicted Republicans as a group of racist terrorists but glossed over protests related to Black Lives Matter and neglected to acknowledge violence from the left.

She commented, “They try to act like, ‘Oh, political violence, it’s Democrats, it’s liberals.’ But really, I say, I’m not gon. But baby, y’all got a wealth of white supremacists; are you okay?” She continued by asserting that many violent individuals are aligned with the Republican party, even suggesting connections to groups like the KKK, and asserted that much of the violence is racially motivated.

The aftermath of George Floyd’s death in May 2020 sparked riots that resulted in at least 24 fatalities and close to $1 billion in damages. In another case, an Oregon court ruled that ANTIFA members owed journalist Andy Ngo $300,000 after an attack during a protest in June 2019.

Moreover, Crockett chose not to address vandalism linked to Elon Musk at Tesla. As for President Donald Trump, he encountered two assassination attempts during the 2024 presidential election cycle, with the second occurring on September 15 while he was golfing in Florida. Ryan Wesley Rouse has been charged in connection with that attempt and expressed his lethal intentions in a letter.

A social media post from Rouse referenced claims by former Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden regarding the importance of democracy in voting. CNN reporter Donnie O’Sullivan also stated in April that leftist violence does not compare to the Capitol riots or other actions associated with the far-right on January 6, 2021.
