In an interview with The 19th Last week, Crockett rejected the topic of including trans as a “distraction” in women's and girls' sports, minimizing the potential impact it had on women's and families' lives. Crockett made the comment, criticizing Democrats for splitting up on the issue.
“In this election, we allowed ourselves to split ourselves, we allowed them to deflect us and we allowed them to talk about Transfolk,” Crockett said. “According to trans kids, they want to play sports. That's the biggest problem we've had. Since when? When you find the little trans kids that are ruining your life. I mean, what are we doing?

Now, Crockett's rejection of the topic as a “distraction” to Democrats may have affected their outcome in the November election, as the party's continued stance in supporting trans inclusion is against most of their voters' stance.
