Salary Insights from “White Lotus”
Jason Isaacs, known for his role in “White Lotus,” has revealed that every actor in Season 3 earned a salary of $40,000 per episode.
During an interview released on Monday, Isaacs mentioned, “Generally, actors don’t discuss pay publicly because it can seem really disproportionate given what we do.” He went on to add, “But honestly, that’s quite low for what actors typically get paid for major TV shows.”
Interestingly, Isaacs joked, “In reality, we might have paid to be part of it. We’d probably have given them body parts if needed.”
At 62, Isaacs discussed the topic of fair compensation, especially in comparison to “less experienced actors like Patrick Schwarzenegger.” He said, “I never work purely for money.” He continued, expressing a sense of balance in his life, stating, “I’m doing okay,” while acknowledging that many might assume he has vast wealth. “What I’ve done is just adjust my spending to match what I’ve made over the years,” he noted.
In addition to Isaacs, Season 3 includes a diverse cast featuring Schwarzenegger, Amy Loowood, Walton Goggins, and many others.
Earlier this year, producer David Bernad and casting director Meredith Tucker discussed the show’s unchanging pay structure with “Hollywood Reporter.” They emphasized that all cast members are treated equally in terms of compensation. “This approach helps us attract people who are genuinely passionate about the project rather than just chasing a paycheck,” Bernad explained.
Tucker added, “It’s easy to tell people our system, but some still opt out, and that’s understandable given the need for a living.”
Interestingly, even notable actors like Woody Harrelson faced challenges with scheduling conflicts, despite negotiations reaching high levels at Warner Bros.
