Jason Kelsey shared a cheeky message with his brother Travis Kelsey and his fiancée Taylor Swift following their engagement announcement on Tuesday.
In a teaser for the recent episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Jason playfully addressed Travis, who was not present, while congratulating the couple from his home in Missouri.
“So, there’s some big news that just dropped,” Jason said. “We recorded this podcast on Monday, and since it was Travis’ day off, he’s not here to react. But as a team, we want to massively congratulate you both on the engagement.”
The former Eagles player, who hung up his cleats in March 2024 after 13 seasons, celebrated with friends. He also acknowledged Swift’s recent appearance on their podcast, where she discussed her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, due out on October 3rd, and shared insights about her relationship with Travis.
“This episode might not top our last one,” Jason remarked. “But, I mean, it has to go down in the books, right? I mean, we had Taylor. She decided to chat with us—two clueless guys who know nothing about music.”
Travis and Taylor started dating in 2023, and they announced their engagement on Instagram with a series of pictures taken in a beautifully decorated garden. They jokingly wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married.” The post featured a track called “So High School.”
Latest Updates on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey
Travis proposed with a rectangular diamond set in silver, which he co-designed with jewelers Kinderrecklebeck and Artifex Fine Jewelry. The proposal took place at a Kansas estate Taylor bought for some privacy, which is interesting considering their whirlwind romance.
In an interview, Ed Kelsey, their father, revealed that the proposal was made at Travis’ home nearly two weeks ago.
